  1. Key Responsibilities

3.1  Portfolio responsibilities (current):


  • Design and development of technology solutions for billing automation, including:
    • Automated, system driven fee calculations
    • Automated, system driven fee commission calculations
    • Integration with SAGE X3 ERP system for automated transaction posting
  • Facilitating the migration of existing processes onto new systems
    • Management reporting considerations
    • Financial reporting considerations
    • Data migration considerations
    • User acceptance testing
    • User training
    • Change management
  • Consider further enhancements of systems relating to finance

  • Expanded portfolio responsibilities:


  • Support the CFO in designing, developing and implementing re-engineered finance processes with the following objectives:
    • Decreased manual effort
    • Increased data accuracy and completeness
    • A central source of truth for all financial data
    • Increased visibility through BI and analytics tools
    • Reduced process lead times
    • Reduce departmental headcount as a result of fewer manual processes
  • Examples of projects that would make progress towards these objectives include:
  • Automation of bank account capturing
  • Implementing employee expense management systems
  • Digitising payroll process
  • Automating reconciliation of financial accounts
  • Automated population of VAT returns
  1. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with an accounting elective
  • Preferred - CA (SA)
  • Experience with configuring accounting and/or ERP systems
  • Strong competency in business process design and analysis
  • Working knowledge of IT systems fundamentals e.g. databases, integration patterns
  • Practical experience the design/re-engineering of business processes including IT system design
  • Familiarity with modern cloud technology, SaaS products and low code platforms
